    Final Written Test Results for PC (Civil&AR) & Warder (Prisons) :

    Recruitment to the posts of SCT Police Constable (Civil) (Men & Women)- 3216 Posts, SCT Police Constable (AR) (Men & Women)- 1067 Posts, in Police Department and Warders (Male)- 240 Posts & Warders (Female)-25 Posts, in Prisons & Correctional Services Department was notified vide Notification Rc. No. 202/R&T/Rect.2/2016, dt: 22.07.2016.

    Final Written Test for the above posts was conducted on 22.01.2017 at 5 locations in Andhra Pradesh. 72,044 candidates participated in the examination, out of which 63,718 qualified. The result is available on the website “recruitment.appolice.gov.in” and “www.appolice.gov.in.” The breakup of participating and qualifying candidates gender wise, caste wise and centre wise is as

    for the final written test for the post of PC (Civil&AR) & Warder (Prisons)

    The Notification No.246/R&T/Rect.2/2016,dt:27-8-2016 was issued for filling up of 494 posts for direct recruitment of SCT Police Constables (Communications) for Men & Women in the Police Department. Final Written Examination was held on 29-01-2017 and Merit List declared on 16-02-2017.

    Hence, Direct Recruitment (DR) Vacancies = 494-10 = 484
    Starting Roster Point 55 (of first cycle). Hence, with 484 posts to be filled up, end roster point 38(of sixth cycle).

    As per notification, these DR vacancies have reservation of 33 1/3% for women, 3% for CPP, 2% for Home Guard and 1% for NCC. All these reservation are Horizontal basis in compartmentalised form. Hence, the vacancy calculation for these special categories is as under:-
    While calculating decimals, only two decimal digits are taken into consideration without rounding off. Any decimal ≤ 0.49 is converted to 0 and any decimal ≥ 0.50 is converted to 1.
    While filling reservation for special categories, the SLPRB follows an order of priority to decide any candidate who belongs to more than one special category will be considered under which category. This policy is decided in advance to ensure uniformity. For the post of PC (Communications), this order of priority for Special Categories is as under:-
    a) Women (33 1/3%)
    b) CPP (3%)
    c) Home guard (2%)
    d) NCC (1%)
    As stated in Notification, for candidates claiming benefit under NCC, first preference is given to candidates having NCC-C certificate. Only, if such candidates are not available or available candidates are already allotted, then second preference is given to candidates with NCC-B Certificates. Finally, candidates with NCC-A certificates are given third preference. This Order of preference for NCC candidates is followed irrespective of their position in Merit list. Eg.: a candidate with NCC-C Certificate with lower marks is preferred over a candidate with NCC-B or NCC-A certificate with higher marks.

    As per rules, those ABOST candidates from scheduled areas of 5 districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Vishakapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari who qualified PMT on the basis of relaxed Height, chest and weight criteria are considered only when sufficient candidates of ST/ABOST with standard height, chest and weight are not available, irrespective of the merit of such candidates.
    Now, from the Merit list, the above mentioned vacancies are filled in following order:-
    • I. OC vacancies are filled first – 243
    • II. Backlog vacancies are filled – first OC, then social categories – 10
    • III Finally, all social category vacancies are filled.

    From the Merit list, following belonging to Creamy Layer could not get Selected even though they have obtained marks higher than the cut off marks. (Non-Creamy Layer Certificate was not submitted by them).
